Return air grilles are where air is drawn from within the building into the system to be conditioning to the set temperature. The size of a return air grille varies and is calculated to suit your requirements. It can either be one return air grille located in one area of the house or multiple return air grilles in either the same location or different locations; again this is all calculated depending on your requirements. Return air grille locations depend upon the location of your system and access required; they can be positioned in a ceiling, wall, floor or cupboard.

These are used for ceiling and walls too but come in many different sizes and are used when a purtech return air grille would not suit your requirements.
